Armorial Painted Panel

Painted Armorial Panel in the Gothic Revival Taste,and in the style of A W N Pugin, depicting the Christogram IHC being the medieval IHS monogram for Jesus and the monogram for the Virgin Mary on heraldic jousting shields with rope tassles in alternate panels with a background of medieval style entwining Ivy foliage. English circa 1850, possibly part of the furnishings of a catholic church and very much in the manner of J G Crace.
