Matched pair of hooded wainscott rocking chairs of fielded panel construction, one gothic, one arched. both with a carved date of 1562 and a name H P Cooper, Burnley, 1879-1928 later carved into the seat rail. Later rushed seats English circa 1900.
These chairs are beautifully made out of re-used timber and may have been made for a 16th century building dated 1562 (or out of 16th century timber ?) probably by H P Cooper of Burnley.
