George IV Primitive Country Chair, of unusual form, in Fruitwood (Plum?) and Elm, with arched top rail with 3 turned finials, supported on graduated bobbin turned supports spaced by fretwork repeated circle design splats, the carved arms attched to the back posts by means a pegged tenon and raised on carved and shamfered banjo shaped supports pegged to the saddle shaped Elm seat which is carved with a fan and a stylised plant motive, the seat is raised on four turned splayed legs joined together by turned stretchers, rear cross stretcher is missing.
