Victorian Papier Maché Blotter

Victorian Papier Maché Blotter, decorated with a shell and seaweed theme, an arrangement of shells and coral on a black ground, and in inlaid mother of pearl and abalony shell, surrounded by sea weeds and water plants in futher mother of pearl inlay and ornamented with gilding. The papier maché back cover with mother of pearl studs and attached to the front by a tooled Maroccan red leather spine. The interior with a pocket and lined with original blue silk.
