Queen Ann Painted Corner Cupboard, of bow front form and constructed from Oak with a single door, decorated with a still life of an urn filled with a arrangement of flowers in the baroque style, and on each side, by a border of simulated marble, the inside with two shaped shelves, the cupboard has a curved base and top mould and remains of upper superstructure, one original pierced butterfly hinge and one replaced 18th century iron butterfly hinge. there is some historic damage to the paint at the foot of the door.
these cupboards were made in large quantities in Holland and exported to England, they are mostly with chinoiserie decoraation, but rarely painted with a still life.
