Jacobean Moulded Front Chest of Drawers

Jacobean Chest of Drawers, in Oak and veneered with fruitwood, in two parts, the overhanging plank and cleated top above an all round dental cornice with break front, above four drawers with varying eloborate geometric and cushion moulded designs, some of which have traces of decoration or faux tortoishell and ebonising, the chest come apart into two sections and there is an alround heavy waist and base moulding and the sides and back are panelled. the drawers are side hung and have a nice set of iron drop handles with a working lock on the second large " bonnet" drawer.
almost all the mouldings are original with few repairs.
