Console table of neo-classical design and based on a design by Thomas Chipendale, pine with original faux-wood finish and later slate top, made by James Mein of Roxburgh Street, Kelso, Scotland, circa 1820. Designed to go into a wedge-shaped recess and possibly for game or dairy use.
