Victorian Painted Box, in Pine with original grained paint surface, the top with edge moulding the base with a plinth moulding and the chest has a double lock, and with a sign written inscription- " A. U. L. Branch 21, possibly standing for the "Art Union of London" an organisation which furthered the apreciation of Art by means of a membership subscription which enabled members to receive a yearly object d'art.
