George III Work Box, in Satinwood with Sycamore and Ebony inlay, box stringing and Walnut crossbanding, the interior fitted with various sized removable mahogany boxes with further inlaid fan pattera on satin wood veneered tops, and space for tools and scissors, etc. with hidden compartments hidden. Below is a fitted writing draw with inkwells. The carrying handles and hinges look to be Paktong, a hard and rare brass alloy.
