Two Windsor Chairs * with original paint and surface, one in Birch the other in Sycamore and Birch, with shaped top rails supported by spills which rise up from the three piece shaped arm rail, which in turn is supported by spills rising up from the saddle shaped seat, which has a rear extension which supports a pair of spills bracing the back, the seat itself supported balaster turned legs jointed by an H stretcher.

These chairs are named after "Oliver Goldsmith" the author who owned an 18th century model which was donated to the Victoria and Albert Museum by Lady Hawes in 1872 and may have contributed to the late 19th century revival of these Thames Valley Chairs *Priced seperately at £550
