Welsh Wainscot Chair, Oak of jointed and panelled construction, the shaped cresting rail above a double panelled back, the shaped sloping arms, with carved scrole ends, supported on turned baluster front legs joined by a turned front stretcher and plain double side stretchers joined to plain back legs. the plank seat although early and compataable with the chair is a replacement for an original panelled seat. The chair has an extremely good rich colour and typical of good Welsh Oak.
