Bamboo and Lacquer Folio Stand

Late 19th century bamboo and Lacquer folio stand, made in France using imported Bamboo and lacquered wood panel. The top a piece of well figured Japanese Elm decorated with gold lacquer of branches, leaves and flying sparrows, framed in a Walnut border, supported thick Bamboosplayed legs, and then with 6 apertures for folios or files divided by slatted Bamboo divisions
